Other notable translations include the Revised Standard Version - Catholic Edition (RSV-CE), the Douay-Rheims (the earliest translation from the original Latin), and the Navarre Bible.

In the Catholic tradition, the Bible differs from the versions commonly used by Protestants in terms of both the number and order of books. This distinction arises from the inclusion of the deuterocanonical books, also known as the Apocrypha according to Protestant terminology. Additionally, the Catholic canon of Old Testament texts is more extensive than that of Protestant translations, which primarily rely on the shorter Hebrew and Aramaic Masoretic Text. However, it has a shorter canon compared to certain Eastern and Oriental Orthodox churches, which recognize additional books as sacred scripture.
